Stop the pinging
[edit]You don't need to ping me every time you mention my user name. It causes an annoying red box to appear at the top of my screen. This happens when you type either {{u|DeCausa}} or [[User:DeCausa]] and it's happening 3 or 4 times a day. I'm not going to respond on the article talk page so you are wasting your time if that's your aim. Please stop. DeCausa (talk) 21:15, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

- You can just type DeCausa and that's fine. The ping format is for alerting the user in question - see WP:PING for more information. It applies to all the other editors when you use that format. DeCausa (talk) 21:23, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
